july favorites - skin care, self care & more!

there’s something about the warmer weather that always has me in a great mood. being the person that i am, this combination tends to lead to coin being spent. today, i’m sharing what products have not only taken my coin, but have made my life better this month!

the addition of this product to my skin care routine has been a game changer for correcting my dark spots, and smoothing my skin overall. i’ve always wanted to try la roche posay products- and boy was this a great introduction! this is easily my favorite step of my skin care routine, as the formula is lightweight, non-greasy, and smells amazing. i was already seeing results within the first two weeks of use, and i’m so excited to see the progress with continued use!

who knew that a random trip to target would lead me to my new favorite scent? i was checking out, and a cashier smelled amazing. i asked what she was wearing, & it was none other than queen bee body spray. on my next visit, i picked it up, and it’s safe to say that i’ve been addicted to it since. this is my go-to scent for everyday wear. it's the perfect light and airy scent with citrus and floral notes, and isn’t too overpowering. the best part for me? the price! for only $10, this will for sure always be a part of my fragrance collection.

with the heat of summer in full swing, a tinted moisturizer is a must for my makeup routine, especially when it comes to shoot days. i’ve tried a few, but have fallen in love with the urban decay hydromaniac tinted moisturizer. the formula is super lightweight, and matches my skin tone like no other. good enough for all-day wear, this product will continue to be heavy in my rotation all summer long!

getting ready has never been easier with the help of these knotless braids. i love how i have one less thing to worry about! i’ve now had them for over a month, and i’m truly still obsessed with everything about them- from the length, to how they can be styled in so many ways. if you haven’t got a protective style this summer, what are you waiting for? check out my braiders page here

the cover alone is enough to keep me coming back (the link will show the art print- i got it as a notepad from tj maxx). one of my favorite ways to stay on task is by creating daily to-do lists, and this notepad in particular has been helping me out so much lately! i love that i can flip through it, and see what i accomplished (or didn’t) the day before, as it leads to increased productivity and time for self-reflection.

my self-care game has officially reached a new level with this addition. a bath tray has been on my wishlist for a while now, and this one by inotka is a must. it features a space for holding a glass, and even room for things like candles, a book, or a tablet. weekly baths are about to be my new thing thanks to this bath tray!

there’s just something about having long nails again that makes me happy. it’s been a few years since i’ve had acrylic nails, and it feels so nice treating myself to them now in this season. i’ve been getting a lot of color combos/designs that i would shy away from in the past, and it’s truly allowing me to be more creative & carefree all around. plus- it’s white toes season, and you know i will be participating!

i was kindly gifted a bralette & pair of underwear from parade, and y’all- when i tell you this was right on time! i’ve been on the hunt for some stylish yet comfy undies, and these did not disappoint at all. i love that i don't have to compromise and pick style over comfort, or comfort over style, parade definitely understood the assignment!
