the concept of loving yourself enough to continue moving forward, no matter what life brings your way.

while taking photos with my bible as a prop.. the first verse i opened to was isaiah 58:3.

of all places to land, God brought me right there. and honestly, it hit me. i’ve been hard on myself lately, trying to “show up” in my faith but realizing some of it was just checking a box instead of truly seeking him.

as i kept reading, it shifted something in me, the reminder that God isn’t asking for performance. he wants relationship. he wants the version of me that’s honest, soft, open… the me that comes because i want to be close to him, not because i feel obligated.

everything else will leave you drained, but turning to God is the one thing that actually strengthens you.

i hope this encourages anyone who feels the same tug… God meets you right where you are, and he knows exactly what you need to see. 🌿

shedding, shifting, becoming.

fall always feels like a mirror. the trees let go of what no longer serves them, and i’m learning to do the same.

lately i’ve been reminded that transitions don’t always announce themselves; sometimes they come suddenly, and all we can do is learn to shift and embrace them.

as the year winds down and the air shifts, i’ve been reflecting on the parts of myself i’ve outgrown and the newness waiting on the other side.

this season feels like the in-between… the space between who i was and who i’m becoming. a reminder that endings are really just beginnings.

i’m back to a weekly cadence, and this week headed to @juliet.HTX for their $25 girl dinner special, which includes two oysters, truffle fries, a caesar salad, a small shrimp pasta and a lemon drop or glass of processo. it’s like i created the menu myself.

now for the outfit details - this suit set is years old from target, but serves me so well every wear! earrings most likely are from shein (sorry yall lol) with my red ring from a boutique in cdmx, silver ring left behind by @miss._maya and bracelet picked up from the southwest trading market here in houston. super comfy heels from @naturalizer to top the look off, and i’m so excited to be back to going on regular solo dates!

there’s nothing like creating with someone who just *gets it* beyond the angles and aesthetics. as creators, we’re so used to being a one-person show, juggling every role ourselves. i usually shoot solo, so when @kensthetic_ suggested a content day, i’ll be honest, i hesitated. not because i doubted her eye, but because i’m so used to carrying it all on my own that accepting help felt… foreign.

but i’m so glad i said yes. this day reminded me how much strength (and fun!) there is in breaking out of your routine and coming together with others to create something fresh, something beautiful. i got shots i could never have pulled off alone, and even more importantly, i left with a deeper sense of purpose, being surrounded by someone who truly understands the ins and outs of this lifestyle.

september starting on a monday feels like alignment.

summer stretched me, but it also sharpened me, reminding me what i’m capable of when i slow down and move with intention.

we were kids together. we lost our parents together. and now, we’re building something beautiful together 🤍

not many people can understand what it’s like to lose one, let alone both, parents by the age of 21, but i wasn’t alone. my siblings were there with me, each navigating it in their own way, and we leaned on each other through it all.

the older i get, the more i treasure these moments with them. under the same sky that watched us grow up, we now sit as adults, choosing each other every day.
grief taught us that time isn’t promised, so we pour ourselves into what matters most. family is what you make it, and i’m so grateful for ours.

(and we’re missing our baby brother here—we’re 4 strong!)

i don’t usually open up about the loss i’ve experienced, but grief is a journey, and sharing it feels important. honoring this part of my story is part of healing, and part of why these moments with my siblings mean so much.
